Samsung has just taken the wraps off of its new 8MP image sensor made specifically for front-facing cameras. Dubbed the S5K4H5YB, the new sensor is made using the company’s in-house built ISOCELL technology, along with its newly-developed RWB (red-white-blue) color pattern filter. Samsung hopes that the combination of ISOCELL’s advanced light sensitivity tech and RWB’s color fidelity enhancements will produce a much clearer low light shot.

The company is planning to mass-produce the S5K4H5YB sensor beginning in Q2 of 2015, so we will likely see the new sensor on smartphones released in the later half of the year.

The last time we saw Samsung’s ISOCELL tech in a flagship smartphone was in the Galaxy S5, but the company seemingly went back to the drawing board after that. The Galaxy Note 4, which was released over five months after the S5, carried Sony’s IMX240 camera sensor instead of an ISOCELL sensor. Additionally, Sony’s sensors also come in the recently-announced Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge handsets.

Last year, the company talked a lot about ISOCELL, so it was clear that they wouldn’t just ditch the technology after putting it in only one smartphone. Now it’s apparent that Samsung was bettering their camera tech before releasing it to another flagship. And who knows, maybe they’ll release an improved rear-facing ISOCELL sensor in time for the Galaxy Note 5 launch.

Today, Indonesian jobs information site Qerja announced that after just eight months in operation, the company has secured a series A funding round the SB ISAT Fund, a collaboration between SoftBank and Indosat. The amount of the round was not disclosed, but Qerja is calling it “one of the highest Series A valuations of any Southeast Asian startup.” The round, it says, puts Qerja at an eight digit valuation. Previously, Qerja was supported by a seed round raised from Mountain Kejora Ventures (formerly known as Mountain SEA Ventures).

Qerja is a website that allows Indonesian and Malaysian job seekers to share salary details and workplace information publicly – think of it kind of like an Indonesian Glassdoor. Job seekers and employees can use the site to find transparent information about a company’s pay scale and hiring practices. And companies can use the feedback on it to gauge their position in the market and tweak their offerings to attract and retain good employees.

Qerja co-founder Veronika Linardi says, “We want to eliminate the taboo of discussing salary and company reviews in Indonesia. Our solution helps talented employees find great new jobs and help great companies find talented new employees.”

SI ISAT says that it chose to invest in Qerja because it believes the company’s management team has the skill to take on what it calls the “large, lethargic incumbents” currently operating in Indonesia’s online jobs space. “The timing could not be better to seize this opportunity,” said SB ISAT managing partner Kabir Misra.

ASUS has debuted two new tablets in India, the new FonePad 7 and MeMo Pad 8 with price tags of $178 and $323 respectively. These products come with Android 4.4 KitKat, 2 GB of RAM and 16 GB of storage and they share quite a few specs.

Their Android 4.4 platforms come with heavy Zen UI customization and the two also share the presence of Bluetooth 4.0, WiFi and 3G. ASUS FonePad 7 FE171CG is the version we’re talking about here, one that comes with dual SIM slots and voice calling features. The device packs a 7 inch LED backlit IPS screen with a 1024 x 600 pixel resolution, a microSD card slot and a 1.2 GHz dual core Intel Clover Trail+ processor.
